Consisting of blues, rhythm and blues, jazz, rock, and a dash of funk, this elixir will give you just the kick to get your party started. Straight out of the capital region, the members of Doc Orloff’s Blues Elixir have been entertaining audiences for 30 years. Comprised from some of the areas most successful and talented groups, (The Upstarts, Cleen Street, The Smythe’ Brothers & The Mix) the five members of Doc Orloff’s Blues Elixir all bring their knowledge and musical virtuosity to the forefront to create a unique blues experience for their audiences. With a broad range of covers (Santana, Robben Ford, B.B. King, The Allman Brothers) and some originals, this band never fails to get a crowd moving and grooving. With the praise of many local club and bar owners, Doc Orloff’s Blues Elixir is assured to provide an unforgettable performance. Doc Orloff and his Blues Elixir are currently playing dates around the capital region and are hoping to expand their market and fill up their schedule for the beginning of 2008.

Chris "Doc" Orloff - bass, vocals - The doctor is in! Doc is known by many as the best singing bass player in Upstate New York. With a nearly 4 octave range and steady groove, it’s no wonder he is a favorite among musicians and Blues aficionados all over. Standing out in the Pittsburg club scene in the early seventies, he played the same venues as Messiah, and Wild Cherry. Some say that Bobby Parissi (Wild Cherry) wrote the song Play That Funky Music White Boy about Doc. He has played with James Gang, Leslie West, Deborah Coleman, Sue Foley, John Mooney, and George Boone.

Joe Sanges - guitar, vocals - Joe has been one of the most sought after guitarists in upstate New York for over 35 years. His success can be attributed to his uncanny ability to play in any style. This has made Joe a valuable asset to any band he works with. Joe studied at the Berklee School of Music in Boston for some time, returning to the area to share his wealth of knowledge and experience. He has played with local bands including Too Much, Star Street, John Savage Band, Cleen Street, and the Smythe' Brothers.

Matt Donnelly - keyboards, vocals - Matt has been one of the area's premier keyboardists playing with many different capital region bands including Smokestack Lightning, Paul Muse and the Blues, Direct Drive, The Shoreliners, and most recently The Upstarts. Matt has been involved with many area theatre productions and has co-written and performed on multiple movie and instructional video soundtracks. He is well known for his knowledge of jazz and blues standards.

Carl Marucci- Drums, Percussion and Vocals. Carl is one of the most accomplished drummers on the Central NY music scene. His varieties of styles and abilities have allowed him to perform continuously for over 35 years in various venues throughout the region. His successful career started at the early age of 13 as a founding member of The Sound with Brass which was an opening act for The Bee Gees. Many of Carl's fans will remember him best as the drummer for the touring rock group Bhang and on the local scene with the ever popular "Reflections". Most recently Carl was involved with the seven piece horn band, "The Mix". Carl's present association with Cleen Street and Doc Orloff's Blues Elixir allows him to achieve the passion of his life with great brothers of music.

Johnny Xray Readdean - guitar, vocals - John has been active in the area music scene for over 35 years and has been a valuable asset to many area bands as both a guitarist and a bassist. John was one of the members of the legendary Smythe' Brothers, playing bass, keyboard bass, and singing some vocals. The Smythe' Brothers, had local hits in the capital area during the late 70's and 80's. John was also one of the founding members of Cleen Street back in 1988 and has been the driving force keeping the band going for over 20 years.
